Horrendous sound

On the plus side, this mixer is good if you need to mic a drumset and percussion sets, it has enough channels, and plenty of routing options and monitors outs.

On the downside, avoid this mixer for all music, guitars, and vocals. I use it in a lounge for a live band, the vocals sounds robotic, my guitar sounds like it's hooked on a wah-pedal with open position. The mids on this mixer's eq are just horrible. We use Yorville Speakers with Soundcrest power amplifiers.

The mixer is great for the price, but that's what you get for a 16 channel mixer with compression and effects.

Good for the price

I'm using one in a small club for my band every weekend, it's convenient because I was able to sent 4 different outputs/monitors with their own levels, and 2 auxs outputs with own levels. For the price I think it's good. The eq was decent. The ONLY big problem is the effects. These Yamaha effects are very dry, produces feedbacks, and makes the vocals unclear. I am using an Alesis Nanoverb hooked up to a small Behringer mixer just for the vocals, and problem solved.
