Freedom 2.1 is host software that lets you set up a virtual effects rack for production and mastering in mono, stereo or up to 8.1 surround. The extremely intuitive and easy-to-use rack functionality gives you access to over 40 premium filters and effects, including yellow tools' sophisticated real-time convolution reverb processor "Origami" with premium impulse response (IR) models including churches, cathedrals, stages, rooms, and halls. Origami also supports surround IR files and features an audio import option that lets you create your dimension of sound.

Freedom offers three independent snapshot slots. You can add an unlimited number of insert effects to each slot and easily change their order via drag 'n' drop. Freedom also supports 3rd party VST plug-ins, so you can load your preferred VST plug-ins into its virtual effects rack in addition to the already included premium filters and effects. For the most intuitive workflow possible, the order of your insert effects in the rack corresponds exactly to the sequence of your audio input signal.

Freedom 2.1 is the worlds first effects/VST host that gives you the flexibility to switch between different surround formats. You can change the input and output format of Freedom 2.1 independently of the original input format of your audio file. In normal operation, Freedom 2.1 recognizes the surround format of your host-channel automatically and assigns the input and output format accordingly. However, you can assign other surround formats at any time. With Freedom 2.1 you can extract separate channels of a surround file (any combination is possible) and edit to create a totally new surround format using the sophisticated Surround panner.
