I had 2 of these in my rack for a year, always had problems to set up my sound. The auto eq doesn't work well and the sound is really harsh. It sounds like you are out of phase. I switched to a dc one by electrovoice and my pa sound improved atleast 10 better times in quality.....tx dbx for making me waiste money on your product.... and thanks to EV for making me one happy customer!!

Got this unit because I use one in the pa I run. Once you read the manual and observe all cautions and warnings you will be amazed! Makes your pa sound twice as big and twice as clear! I only have three things to say, get one, Get one, GET ONE!!!

Awesome but Hazardous

With its automated EQ analysis, the DriveRack PA can bring out the best sound your equipment can produce. It can also work wonders in balancing subs, mids, and horns in a system with mix-and-match components.

However, for live PA use, the front panel of this rack mount unit presents an extreme reliability hazard. It is all too easy to accidentally hit the analysis mode button below the LCD display without even noticing it. This button instantly converts the unit into a spectrum analyzer, blocking all sound output while it's in this mode. In my experience, the only safe way to use this unit in the field is mounted behind a tamper-proof rack panel.

Be sure to get the rtn microphone, but with a little education from its easy to understand interface and instruction manual, you will be crisp and loud in no time!

“Where have you been all my life?” This unit rocks, and if it were a female, I'd marry it. My PA has gone from OK to great with this unit alone. I plan to get some new power amps to go with it, but what I have sounds awesome now. If I could afford another one, I would get it for my monitors. Hell, if I could afford it I would buy one for every band I know.
