Only one drawback

The only drawback to this unit is that their current driver software at this time causes high CPU usage spikes every 2 seconds under Windows 7. Now if you have a decent system with a fast processor or multi-core processor, you will never notice it. If you are planning on using it with something that has a weak processor (such as an Intel Atom) I'd say stay away from it (personal experience speaking here). The problem doesn't exist under Windows XP or Linux (never tried it with Vista or a Mac). Either way, this is the best all-in-one external audio and MIDI interface I've found, no feature was left behind. I gave it a 4.5 on quality because the knobs have a little bit of wobble to them, which I'm not sure if that'll actually affect their lifespan. Value scored a 4.5 because the name Tascam always jacks up the price. Other than that, this is a great external audio and MIDI interface with extremely low latency.

The US-122 worked fine for awhile, but it suddenly quite working - tried all of Tascam's webpage links, no help, tried the forum's, no help, my advise is to try another companies product.
